I am pleased to have been part of VGP Radio Drama Group, an offshoot group of Spiderweb Productions, for a couple of years during my undergraduate studies at the University of Education, Winneba. The VGP group thrives on the core objective of ‘edutaining’ audiences, comprising the proverbial ‘town and gown’, whiles drawing from vital political, economic, social and cultural narratives of everyday life. The group is a voice for the voiceless and an advocate for the marginalized in the society.

Talk about a bunch of daring young men and women with a passion to touch the world in a peculiar way and make a difference that truly counts! I allude to the Pat Nukpezah founded and led Spiderweb Productions who for a near half-decade are using theatre to sound a clarion call that society is us, one and together. Spiderweb is an outreach venture, that makes use of Theatre for Development (TfD), Theatre for Extension Communication (TEC) and Theatre for a Change (TfaC) akin strategies to address pertinent issues that affect our societies’ well-being.
